This is a precision machined throttle body which provides a true and accurate bore that can’t be obtained modifying the throttle body by hand. The bore is dimensionally accurate and smooth, has a radius at the top, the throttle shaft is machined for increased flow and strength, and to prevent flexing or possible breakage under boost applications., they utilize low profile stainless steel button head throttle plate screws, the throttle plate is custom machined from T6061 aluminum, with the correct angle at the margins, and are set with the correct clearances.
The Core Charge: You can ship me your throttle body for modifications or buy a unit outright plus the core charge. If you later send me your throttle body (identical to what you bought in good, usable, unmodified condition, and without damage) I will refund the core charge once I have received your core and am assured it is usable, unmodified, and without damage. I will check the condition right away and issue an immediate $50 refund if it fits the criteria mentioned above. I will not pay return shipping if the core does not meet this criteria.
I anticipate up to 2 weeks for the completed unit ready for shipping if I don’t have the item in stock, but it may take less time. If you buy a unit outright, it is also subject to core availability so it is advisable to check with me first at Richard@hi-potek.com
